This safari is available all year round.

 Highlights:

  • 1 night Okavango Delta & Mokoro excursion
  • 2 nights Moremi Game Reserve, Game drive

We will strive to adhere to the routes described in this itinerary.

However, occasionally it may be necessary to make changes (subject to roads & weather conditions as well as camp availability) to the itinerary that has been proposed for you. This itinerary should therefore be treated as a guide only.

Day 1 : (Holmes Chapel)

GABORONE - MAUN-OKAVANGO DELTA

Depart Gaborone to Maun

Day 1: Okavango Delta,  Maun Arrival

This safari officially starts in Maun, Botswana. A professional guide will meet you the day before the safari commences at an agreed meeting point. After a brief introduction, your guide will then give you a full overview of your safari trip.

 Upon reaching Maun you will be taking to Mokoro station which is managed by community trust.

Tourism in the Okavango region is a source of employement and our company is mandated to empower communities that they a running operating.

A mokoro ride would humble you to the great in touch with nature.Your poler will pole for an 1hr or 2 hrs to an island where you will spend a night.

The Sun set in the Okavango delta is the most magic moment in life time to see and experience .

OKAVANGO DETLA

‘’Listed as a world heritage site in June 2014 in Doha,Qatar’’ Know as the ‘’jewel of the kalahari’’ the Okavango deltais one of the world ’s largest inland delta with its pristine wilderness being home to a vast diversity of wildlife and ecosystem.Spreading out over 16,000 sq km of northern Botswana,this water wonderland is surrounded by the Kalahari Desert savannah,providing great contrasts in landspace and culture ,bearing testimony to the hardiness of its inhabitants.The detla also provides ever changing array of scenery and experience for tourists who seek to find the true heart of Africa. Its awe-inspiring emerald green water thread through the waterscape providing succor to its people and its wild animals.

Day 2 : (Dukinfield)

MOREMI GAME RESERVE

Days 23: Moremi Game Reserve, Camping( khwai)  

Distance: approx. 100 Km to reach Moremi South Gate and 43 km to khwai        

Time: approx. 2.0-2.5 hours

From Maun you will drive through to reach the southern entrance of Moremi Game Reserve to marvel at this exceedingly diverse reserve that offers an untouched wildlife experience. Your days will be spent searching for the wide variety of wildlife and birds that this area is famous for. At the same time you will be absorbing the sounds and beauty of the African wilderness.

Morning game drives as the sun rises and late afternoon game drives as the sun sets will be the order of the day. After each morning game drive, you will return to camp for lunch and a siesta.

Day 3 : (Dukinfield)

MOREMI GAME RESERVE

MOREMI GAME RESERVE

The first reserve in Africa to be established by the local people (Batawana of Ngamiland) concerned about the rapid depletion of wildlife in their ancestral lands due to uncontrolled hunting, Moremi truly and undoubtedly ranks as one of the most beautiful reserves in Africa. Moremi is located in the central and eastern areas of the Okavango and it includes the Moremi Tongue and Chief’s Island-its jewel in the crown. Contained within an area of approximately 3900 square kilometers, Moremi boasts of diverse ecosystems ranging from floodplains, waterways, lagoons, pools, pans, grasslands and riparian forests, riverine to mophane woodland. This diversity makes Moremi one of the prime game viewing and bird watching areas of the world.

Game Driving

In the mornings we wake up very early, enjoy breakfast prepared by our bush chef, before heading out into the Moremi Game Reserve for our game drive. Days 2 & 3 are essentially full game driving days.

Morning game drives as the sun rises and late afternoon game drives as the sun sets will be the order of the day. After each morning game drive, you will return to camp for lunch and a siesta.

Day 4 : (Dukinfield)

MOREMI - MAUN

Day 4: Moremi-Maun (game drive & transfer to Maun)

Early morning of Day 4. You will have a game drive and head towards the South gate to exit to Maun.

This carefully chosen route will give you the chance to explore a different section of this diverse reserve.

Day 5 : (Haddenham)

MAUN -GABORONE

The safari officially ends IN MAUN. For guests wishing to go to Maun Airport, your guide will be able to drop you off.

For all the services contracted, certain advance payment should be made to hold the booking, on confirmed basis & the balance amount paid 4 weeks before inorder to make necessary preparations.For last minute bookings payment should be made immediately.

 

  • Refund for hotel payment will follow the hotel’s cancellation policy
  • Train tickets cancellations will follow the Railway’s policy
  • Flight tickets cancellations will follow the airlines company policy
  • Refund for transport payments will follow the transport's cancellation policy

 

In case you cancel the trip after commencement, refund would be restricted to a limited amount only which too would depend on the amount that we would be able to recover from the hoteliers/ contractors we patronize. For unused hotel accommodation, chartered transportation & missed meals etc. we do not bear any responsibility to refund.

 

We cannot make exceptions to this policy for any reason including personal emergencies, unexpected weather, natural disasters or terrorism.Reeca Travel also reserves the right to cancel any trip using our discretion if the safety of our travelers or staff should be compromised. In the event of cancellation, Reeca Travel is not responsible for any loss incurred for non-refundable travel costs. In this case, refund of payments received by Reeca Travel will constitute full and final settlement. Once booked , custom trips  (this is personalized and tailored to fit your schedule, interests, curiosities, wants, needs and budget) are non refundable.
