Overview

The mokoro is a dug – out canoes made from a large straight tree such as a sausage tree or an ebony tree. It was established by The Ba Yei people as mode of traditional transport on the Okavango Delta. Our Mokoro trips are in partnership by  Morutshe,Dipitsing and Borwe village guide pollers whom will be guiding one through his or her stay in the Delta- activities include bush walks and mokoro excursions. There are no facilities available here, (no flush toilets or showers).During the beginning of the year the water level in this area are very low until the new floods arrive in July/August. Summer times the mokoro trips activities are short due to the heat. Activities will be limited in the early mornings and late afternoons.
